Stringer Arrows
What type of Arrows to get for my bow?

Hi,

I just bought a 72" longbow with 40# at 30" draw. I am completely new to archery so i was wondering what type of arrows should I get? And should I get a bow stringer?

Get the stringer definitely. As for arrows, you can go for that completely traditional look and go for wood arrows. Go to www.3riversarchery.com to buy those wood shafts. It'll ask for a range of poundage.

Or you can go aluminum, aluminums are generally more durable than wood, and not that much more expensive. Aluminums are also more consistent than wood. You can go for the most basic set, the Easton Jazz or go for a world class shaft like the Easton Platinum Plus. At your draw length/weight combo, something like a 1916 would do.
