Is it normal for a 11 week old kitten to be so vulnerable?

This is my 2nd cat, so I don't know. It strikes me as odd that Max totally trusts me. When I play with his hind legs when he rests on my lap he lets his legs go totally limp. It almost feels like dead weight. I feel the sinews and the bones in his legs - and he lets me. He is continually purring, and he stares intensely at me. Can someone explain this behavior. Also, why does he always look like he wants to jump into my face. When he gets this particular look (like he either wants to pounce me or kiss me) I hurriedly place him on the ground. Why do cats stare so intently (never had a cat or kitten that trusted me so much. It's a bit eerie).

He sees you as his mommy.

Our third cat did that to me. I got him at a month and a half. He still does that to me. He walks up to me hugs my face when I say his name. He stands on the floor, looks up at me, and if I say "uppies" he'll jump right up and give me hugs.

He just loves you so very much.
You're his everything.
