My crossbow safety is stuck! Please Help Me Quick?
I bought the rusty ol' cow secondhand, and I have only fired about 5 times trying to sight the stupid thing and now I pulled the string back and the safety engaged, but when I pull the trigger it wont release the string. The safety switch wont budge at all, now I have an engaged crossbow sitting in the garage (no arrow in it) and I cant disengage the darn thing.
Anyone have any suggestions? The gun shop is closed now (Friday night) and wont be open till Monday, I cant have a cocked crossbow sitting in the shed for 3 days!

Can you stirrup the bow and pull back tension on string with both hands (like you are cocking string), and with the string pressure now off of the string release pawl, have someone try and move the safety?
Just a thought for you to try.
