Horton Vision Crossbow - Read This Before You Buy
The Horton Vision Crossbow is a new take on the traditional crossbow design. With its reverse draw design this bow is extremely well balanced in your hands and very quiet. If you have not already shot this bow, go to your local dealer and take a few shots, you will immediately discover the advantages to this style of crossbow design.
I am new to the crossbow world and shot a lot of different bows before I took the Horton Vision Crossbow for a spin. As soon as you pick this crossbow up you will see how well balanced it is compared to the traditional style of crossbows. The Monte Carlo style cheek piece and the oversized forearm grip allow you to line up directly over the trigger which helps to improve your accuracy. I still use the stock scope that came with the Crossbow and it has served me very well. I don't see a need to upgrade as of yet.
The Horton Vision Crossbow is also really quiet when you compare it to many other traditional style crossbows. I am not sure if the quietness of this crossbow comes from the reverse draw design or if it is just superior Horton engineering but the vision 175 is freakishly quiet.
The compact design of the Horton Vision Crossbow makes it really easy for you to maneuver in tight spaces like a tree stand or a in a blind. It also is less of a hassle to take into thick wooded areas.
The only con that I have found with this bow is that I haven't a really found a hard case for it yet. Since there are not a lot of crossbows designed like this, manufactures are not jumping on the production of this type of case. I am sure that other companies will be producing similar designs so hopefully in the near future a hard case will be available.
